Honestly, the only thing I want to know about the second season of “Westworld” is how many samurais we’re going to see to see. If HBO doesn’t deliver on that season one stinger, I’m gonna flip. Anyway, it’s one of the most anticipated shows coming ’round the bend this spring and naturally, the biggest show on TV is getting a spot during the biggest sports event of the year. And of course, the next season is gonna be bigger and badder.
“We’re midseason right now, and it is twice as ambitious as the first one. Twice as crazy! I didn’t think it could get bigger or crazier, and now we’re halfway through, and I just can’t even believe what we’re doing,” Evan Rachel Wood told Coveteur. “I’m on the show, and I’m still getting shocked and surprised at everything that they’re throwing at me. [Dolores is] a very different character this season.”
The Most Anticipated TV Shows of 2018
“It really is a season where I think women are king,” Tessa Thompson revealed to Elle. “I think they rule the world in the park this season… Particularly for the women that play hosts on the show, because you see them as sort of objects, like Thandie Newton’s character who works in a brothel and can be had whenever people want her. This season you see her taking that entirely back and she’ll have anyone that she wants.”
Promising stuff, and I’m sure creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy will be working twice as hard this year to keep fans from figuring out twists too early. “Westworld” season two arrives on HBO this spring, Sunday, April 22. And yes, that’s instrumental of Kanye West‘s “Runaway” in the trailer.
