Zac Efron is ready to tackle fatherhood for Disney+, apparently.
According to THR, the “Neighbors” actor is set to star in the upcoming remake of “Three Men and a Baby,” which is intended to premiere sometime in the future on Disney’s streaming platform. The film is a remake of the 1987 hit film that starred Ted Danson, Steve Guttenberg, and Tom Selleck about three bachelors living the dream that find themselves reluctant father figures to an abandoned infant. The comedy went on to become a big hit and spawn a sequel titled “Three Men and a Little Lady.”

The new “Three Men and a Baby” is produced by Gordon Gray, who is probably best known for his recent Ben Affleck film, “The Way Back.” The remake is written by Will Reichel, who wrote the comedy, “Hot Air.”
As mentioned, Efron is a comedic actor that is probably best known for his two “Neighbors” films co-starring Seth Rogen. Efron is also known for his early career working with Disney on the “High School Musical” franchise. Most recently, he was seen in films such as “Baywatch” and “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile,” where he played Ted Bundy.
Speaking of “Neighbors” and Seth Rogen, it’s hard not to imagine what this film could have looked like if it was made 10 years ago. Instead of Efron leading the pack, imagine “Three Men and a Baby” with Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Jason Segel. That’s a film that sounds really interesting and potentially very funny. Obviously, we don’t know who is going to co-star with Efron in this version, but I can almost guarantee it won’t be as interesting as my dream casting situation.
