While movies are far from dead, even the most devoted cinephile would have to admit they’re watching more TV these days (and if they aren’t, they are closing themselves off to some of the best storytelling happening right now). And high on many people’s list for next year is the second season of “Top Of The Lake,” and the first image has landed.

Elisabeth Moss is back, reprising her role as Detective Robin Griffin, who heads to Sydney, four years after the events of the first season, and digs into the mystery that unfolds when a body washes up on the shore of Bondi Beach. Jane Campion is co-directing with Ariel Kleiman, while the impressive roster of supporting players includes Nicole Kidman and “Game of Thrones” actress Gwendoline Christie.
