We’re always up for a good Gothic drama, and whether “Voice From The Stone” will be worth watching remains to be seen. But it does have one very strong asset in “Game Of Thrones” star Emilia Clarke, who leads the upcoming movie.
Directed by Eric Howell, and based on the novel by Silvio Raffo, the film is set in the 1950s, and follows a young nurse who is sent to care for a young boy who has stopped speaking following the death of his mother, but believes he can hear her speaking in the walls of the castle in which he lives. “[The atmosphere of the house is] mixed in with all of the loneliness she has felt in her life as a nurse who is always moving from one family to another,” Clarke told USA Today about her character. “It seems that happiness is only a family away.”
“Voice From The Stone” opens on in theaters and on VOD on April 28th.
