Earlier this month, director James Mangold promised that “Logan” would be a grown up movie for adults, and it looks like he’s being true to his word. Hugh Jackman has hit Instagram to reveal the official synopsis, and yes, it includes the word “mutant.” Here’s the succinct summary:
In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces.
Meanwhile, Mangold has also been on social media lately, and he provided a preview of Marco Beltrami‘s score (reminder, he replaced Cliff Martinez on the movie), which sounds appropriately hair-raising.
“Logan” opens on March 3rd.
