We’re still stunned that “The Masked Singer” wasn’t the new nominee (and Emmy broadcaster FOX can’t be thrilled it didn’t make the cut), but we also didn’t expect last year’s winner, “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” to earn even more nominations than the year prior. In fact, the “Drag Race” franchise rang up a record 14 nominations, up from 12 the year prior. “The Voice” was second with just seven, down from nine last year. Of course, Netflix viewership matters and if any show is gonna upset “Drag Race” this year it’ll be the “new” underdog, “Nailed It.” [Updated August 13]
