'21 Bridges' Final Trailer: Chadwick Boseman Teams With The Russos Once Again In The Delayed Action Film

The Russo Brothers have teamed up with their Marvel Studios fellow alum Chadwick Boseman for a new action film “21 Bridges.” However, the ‘Endgame’ directing duo are working more behind-the-scenes on the film, serving as producers and bringing on Brian Kirk to helm the feature. So, what does the post-Marvel world look like for the Russos? We’re about to find out in a month.

As seen in the new trailer for “21 Bridges,” Boseman stars as a police officer with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. After the death of his father in the line of duty, Boseman’s character is now a determined police detective that devotes his life to capturing and bringing cop killers to justice. And when some cop killers in NYC go on the run, trying to escape Manhattan, it’s up to Boseman to stop them.

It hasn’t been completely smooth sailing bringing “21 Bridges” to the big screen, however. Despite the “Black Panther” star and ‘Avengers’ directors all over the film’s marketing, “21 Bridges” was delayed from its prior September release to a Thanksgiving Holiday-ish date in late November. No real reason was given for the move, with some speculating that the film would have been a box office disaster, with the marketing not really creating enough of a buzz, if it had the early fall release. Now, with more time to promote, will “21 Bridges” become a breakout hit? We’ll find out soon enough.

The film stars Chadwick Boseman alongside Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David with Taylor Kitsch, and J.K. Simmons.

“21 Bridges” is set to hit theaters on November 22.

Here’s the synopsis:

21 BRIDGES follows an embattled NYPD detective (Chadwick Boseman), who is thrust into a citywide manhunt for a pair of cop killers after uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. As the night unfolds, lines become blurred on who he is pursuing, and who is in pursuit of him. When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all 21 BRIDGES to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island.
