EW has scored a first look at images from Wes Anderson’s “The Darjeeling Limited” (though it’s not online yet). The film’s script had allegedly leaked online back in the spring (we haven’t read it), but apparently the film was about three brothers (Jason Schwartzman, Adrien Brody and Owen Wilson) on a quest to India for an albino tiger that may or may not be their dead father re-incarnated (who was rumored to be played by Bill Murray).
But possibly not. Anderson told EW, “You can’t trust what you read on the Internet,” adding that the film was “more raw” than his previous films (whatever that means exactly. Less pageantry?) “It takes various elements from the movie and distorts them, they’re not searching for a tiger.” According to Anderson, the brothers travel to India because “one of them organized this spiritual journey for them to bond,” after the death of their dad, “but it really just turns into a bender.”
