What is this, “The Hunger Games“? We kid, we kid. Frankly, if there is any movie we’re happy to see moving forward with more casting it’s Paul Thomas Anderson‘s upcoming untitled Scientology flick, aka “The Master.” So let’s get to it shall we?

Variety reports that Rami Malek — perhaps best known as PFC Merriell ‘Snafu’ Shelton on “The Pacific” but to Twihards everywhere as Benjamin in the upcoming “Breaking Dawn” (SQUEE!) — has joined the film. Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Jesse Plemons, David Warshofsky, Laura Dern and Lena Endre star in the film that centers on Lancaster Dodd (Hoffman), who returns from WWII and starts a religion not unlike Scientology, taking Freddie Sutton (Phoenix), a former alcoholic, under his wing.

Malek will play son-in-law of Lancaster and Mary-Sue (Adams), the husband of their sassy 19-year-old-daughter. One more piece of the puzzle added with a few more to come we’re sure. Filming begins later this month.
