In the film Chon — a former Navy SEAL and ex-mercenary — runs a lucrative, peaceful business producing marijuana with his friend and business partner Ben (Johnson), and the duo also share a one-of-a-kind love with the extraordinary beauty Ophelia (Lively). Everything is peaceful in their world until the Mexican Baja Cartel decides to move in and demands they partner with them. The pair refuse to give up their turf, but when the merciless head of the BC, Elena (Hayek), and her brutal enforcer, Lado (Del Toro), go after them, they underestimate the unbreakable bond among these three friends.
