Movies always have a way of giving fans false hope. This is just a by-product of presenting “movie moments” that make us long for the days we can experience our own sort of “meet-cute” or random encounter that leads to an incredible journey. And if you’re someone that gets their hopes up, watch out for the upcoming film, “Finding You.”
As seen in the trailer for “Finding You,” an American violinist, Finley, is on her way to Ireland to study abroad after a bad audition at a prestigious NYC music conservatory. And wouldn’t you know it? On the plane ride to Ireland, she’s seated next to one of the biggest up-and-coming movie stars, Beckett Rush. Obviously, since this is a romantic-type flick, the two hit it off and start a whirlwind romance.
The cast for the romantic drama includes Rose Reid, Jedidiah Goodacre, Katherine McNamara, Patrick Bergin, Saoirse-Monica Jackson, Tom Everett Scott, and Vanessa Redgrave. “Finding You” is written and directed by Brian Baugh, who is probably best known for his previous features, “I’m Not Ashamed” and “The World We Make.”
“Finding You” is set to arrive
Here’s the synopsis:
FINDING YOU is an inspirational romantic drama full of heart and humor about finding the strength to be true to oneself. After an ill-fated audition at a prestigious New York music conservatory, violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid) travels to an Irish coastal village to begin her semester studying abroad. At the B&B run by her host family, she encounters gregarious and persistent heartthrob movie star Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre), who is there to film another installment of his medieval fantasy-adventure franchise. As romance sparks between the unlikely pair, Beckett ignites a journey of discovery for Finley that transforms her heart, her music, and her outlook on life. In turn, Finley emboldens Beckett to reach beyond his teen-idol image and pursue his true passion. But when forces surrounding Beckett’s stardom threaten to crush their dreams, Finley must decide what she is willing to risk for love.
