'Rutherford Falls' Trailer: Ed Helms Teams With The Folks Behind 'The Good Place' & 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' For A New Peacock Comedy

What happens when you combine a star from the US version of “The Office” with two creators from “The Good Place” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine?” Apparently, you get “Rutherford Falls” on Peacock. And with that pedigree, this comedy series is going to attract a lot of attention.

As seen in the trailer for “Rutherford Falls,” the series follows the story of one man, Nathan Rutherford (Ed Helms), who takes on a small town and the Native American reservation that it borders when they propose moving a statue devoted to a local legend. Now, it’s up to Nathan to figure out how to win over the townspeople (he’s not off on a good foot).

As mentioned, the series comes from some of the folks that brought you “The Office,” “The Good Place,” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.” And when you’re talking modern sitcoms, those are three of the best examples right there. The series is created by Helms, alongside Michael Schur and Sierra Teller Ornelas. The series stars Helms alongside Jana Schmieding, Michael Greyeyes, Jesse Leigh, and Dustin Milligan. Yes, Milligan is the guy in the trailer that is also in “Schitt’s Creek,” so that just adds to the great comedy pedigree of the series, as well.
