It was just about a week ago that we highlighted Florence And The Machine‘s “Never Let Me Go” in our newly revamped music video column, and if you’re a fan of the flame-haired singer, we’ve got more good news for you. She’s stepping up into summer blockbuster land with a brand new song.
MTV reports that Florence And The Machine will provide a new tune entitled “Breath Of Life” that will be featured in the upcoming Charlize Theron vs. Kristen Stewart fairytale showdown “Snow White And The Huntsman” (which probably means it will be over the end credits). But considering what passes for summer movie soundtracks (please see the laughably terrible details for “The Avengers“), we’ll gladly take an artist who is already on a bit of the fringe and hopefully doing something different than the standard B-side throwaway we usually get.
The track will apparently feature an orchestra and be one of “many songs” featured on a soundtrack that we’re guessing will be half “inspired by” stuff. Anyway, you can take a look at Florence getting her ‘Huntsman’ on in the recording studio below.
