The new year is in full swing and with a chock-full line-up, HBO is getting ready to unleash the motherlode on audiences in 2018. The cable channel has unveiled a new teaser with some of the first official footage of the highly anticipated “Sharp Objects” with Amy Adams from “Big Little Lies” director Jean-Marc Vallée, HBO movie “Paterno” with Al Pacino from filmmaker Barry Levinson, and the Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon-starring “Fahrenheit 451” by indie helmer Ramin Bahrani.

There’s plenty of footage from new shows on the horizon like “Barry” starring Bill Hader, the Will Ferrell and Adam McKay produced “Succession” with Brian Cox and Jeremy Strong, “Six Feet Under” creator Alan Ball’s new show “Here And Now” with Tim Robbins and Holly Hunter, and Steven Soderbergh’s upcoming “Mosaic” with Sharon Stone and many more.

On top of new comedy specials (“2 Dope Queens”), documentaries (“Andre The Giant,” “Arthur Miller: Writer”) and made for TV movies (“Notes From The Field”), there’s the returning shows. You’ll get glimpses of new seasons of “Ballers,” the sorely underrated “High Maintenance,” “Divorce,” “Silicon Valley,” “Crashing,” Issa Rae‘s “Insecure,” and lastly, likely HBO’s most anticipated show and flagship series for 2018, “Westworld.” The latter footage teases at something much darker with the usually goodhearted Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) and Teddy (James Marsden) gunning down seemingly helpless park attendees. “Westworld” doesn’t have a release date, but it was recently revealed the Lisa Joy/Jonathan Nolan-created show will return this spring.
