Can lessons from the past impact the lives of two strangers? “A Big Bold Beautiful Journey” tells the story of a man and woman whose paths cross unexpectedly. David thinks he’s going in the right direction, only to find himself meeting Sarah after her car breaks down. They embark on an emotional adventure featuring mysterious doors. Each one reveals the heartbreaks and romantic missteps that shaped their views on love.
The anticipated project hails from acclaimed filmmaker Kogonada. His feature-length debut, “Columbus,” screened during the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. He subsequently found more critical success with the 2021 sci-fi drama “After Yang.” Kogonada’s work also extends to TV, helming episodes of “Andor” and “Pachinko.”

‘Journey’ sees Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell star as the seemingly star-crossed pair. Robbie charmed critics and filmgoers alike with her performance as Barbie in the 2023 blockbuster. Farrell found his own success with recent memorable performances in “The Banshees of Inisherin,” “Sugar,” and “The Penguin.”
Kogonada premiered new “Journey’ footage during this year’s CinemaCon. The director’s presentation included praise for his stars, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “They light up the screen together,” he told attendees. Other ‘Journey’ cast members include Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Hamish Linklater, Lily Rabe, Billy Magnussen, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Jennifer Grant.
