Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman Return To Direct 'Paranormal Activity 4,' Hits Theaters On October 19th

nullIt looks like Paramount just plain loves Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman. Fresh off the announcement that "Paranormal Activty 4" would be coming to theaters this year, Paramount is moving fast, mostly because they have to, with Bloody Disgusting reporting that the studio has re-hired the directing pair to crank out another cheapie movie fast.

The pair came to prominence thanks to their slightly controversial, is-it-real/is-it-fake documentary "Catfish" and landed the franchise gig, powering third installment to October box office records and the highest gross worldwide of any film in the series so far. Not bad. And if you're thinking that Joost and Schulman don't have anything better to do, guess again. 2011 has been a busy one for them. Believe it or not they directed the Google Chrome "Dear Sophie" ad that made you cry, this fall, they've been hard at work on a short documentary on artist John Baldessari narrated by none other than Tom Waits. But it seems the studio is leaving nothing to change in getting these guys back, but once again, they'll be working under the wire.

A release date of October 19th has now been slotted, with the movie facing some stiff competition from "Gangster Squad" and the ensemble rom-com "The Big Wedding." Will audiences flock to the familiar in the same numbers once again? We'll soon see.
