The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences is planning an exhibition on the late grand-master Frederico Fellini for the 50th anniversary of his film “La Dolce Vita.” The exhibition is being held January 24th at its Beverly Hills head quarters.
It will feature over a hundred sketches of Fellini’s, most of which represent many of his sexual fantasies in sordid detail, his two-volume dairy ranging from the years 1960-1990, loads of on-set photos and many other artifacts that will serve as a window into the overly perverted mind of the Italian filmmaker.
The exhibit, titled “Fellini Oniricon” is the most comprehensive Fellini exhibit to date, and is divided into eight separate sections. Outside of “La Dolce Vita,” the filmmaker also directed such classics as “8 1/2,” “The Nights of Cabrina” and won four Oscars during his landmark career.
