From fiery guitar gods to courtroom battles and underground rebellions, the “Into the Void: Life, Death & Heavy Metal” trailer unleashes a thunderous chronicle of the genre’s darkest tragedies and fiercest triumphs. The eight-part Hulu docuseries spotlights the music, mayhem and cultural influence of heavy metal’s most compelling figures, featuring Sharon Osbourne, Phil Anselmo, Nikan Khosravi and others.

Helmed by executive producers Evan Husney and Jason Eisener, the co-creators of Vice TV’s hit wrestling docuseries “Dark Side of the Ring,” the series is produced by Vice Studios Canada with executive producers Guillermo Garcia and Barry Davis.
The trailer teases a visceral journey into the genre’s extremes, from the meteoric rise of guitar icon Randy Rhoads to the shocking trial that put Judas Priest in the courtroom, the defiance of Wendy O. Williams, and the tragic loss of Dimebag Darrell. Stories of rebellion, addiction, violence and redemption unfold alongside tales of survival and cultural resistance, culminating in the international fight of Iranian thrash band Confess, led by Nikan Khosravi and Arash Ilkhani, who risked everything to keep their music alive.
Across eight episodes, the series examines the lives and legacies of figures who pushed heavy metal to its creative and cultural limits, including Chuck Schuldiner, Ann Boleyn of Hellion and others whose stories resonate far beyond the stage.
“Into the Void: Life, Death & Heavy Metal” will premiere all eight episodes on Sunday, Sept. 22, on Hulu. Watch the trailer below.
