While we continue to patiently wait for whatever Jennifer Lawrence and director Susanne Bier cooked up with the Depression-era drama “Serena” (along with Bradley Cooper), it looks like the experience was a very, very good one for the actress and director, as they are planning to pair up again.
Lawrence will produce and star in an adaptation of Claire Bidwell Smith‘s memoir “The Rules Of Inheritance,” with Bier slated to direct, from a script by Abi Morgan (“Shame,” “The Iron Lady“). If as Variety suggests, Lawrence wanted “a little more creative control on the projects she is involved in,” well, she’s exercising those powers with some smart choices. As for the movie, it will tell the very true story of one young girl’s rough and tumble coming-of-age after both her parents are diagnosed with cancer. Here’s the Amazon synopsis:
