'The Kissing Booth 2' Trailer: Netflix Pumps up the Drama With Their YA Rom-Com Sequel

Movie theaters might not be back with new films, but Netflix is still operating full-steam ahead and adding to its ever-growing collection of teen-focused rom-coms. The streaming platform giant is back with the highly anticipated “The Kissing Booth 2,” which is the follow-up to its 2018 smash hit “The Kissing Booth.”

The new film follows the evolution of Elle’s (Joey King) relationship with her boyfriend Noah (Jacob Elordi). As Noah is her best friend’s brother, the couple is no stranger to drama and complications. But with Noah away at college and Elle finishing up her final year of high school, both strike up close and potentially troublesome friendships with classmates. Noah and Elle will have to decide if they’re meant to be together, or if they should pursue relationships with new people.

Elle Evans (Joey King) just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Joel Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic new classmate named Marco (Taylor Perez). When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs.
