Apple TV+ already has a couple of intriguing historical dramas on their upcoming series list for 2024: “Masters Of The Air” on January 26 and “The New List” on February 14. But another one arrives in March: “Manhunt,” which follows the hunt for John Wilkes Booth in the aftermath of Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, Apple releasing first-look images for the series today.

Based on James L. Swanson‘s 2006 New York Times bestseller “Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase For Lincoln’s Killer,” “Manhunt” is a conspiracy thriller about one of the best-known but least-understood crimes in history. And Monica Beletsky‘s show has quite the cast for its seven-episode run, with Emmy winner Tobias Menzies leading the way. Other cast members include Anthony Boyle, Lovie Simone, Willl Harrison, Brandon Flynn, Patton Oswalt, Matt Walsh, and Hamish Linklater.
Beletsky serves as showrunner and executive producer on “Manhunt.” Carl Franklin, fresh off of “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story,” directs the series’s first two episodes and serves as executive producer. Apple Studios produces “Manhunt” with Lionsgate Television co-producing, in association with POV Entertainment, Walden Media, 3 Arts Entertainment, Dovetale Productions, and Monarch Pictures. Other executive producers on the series include Layne Eskridge and Kate Barry, as well as Swanson, Michael Rotenberg, Richard Abate, Frank Smith, and Naia Cucukov.
“Manhunt” makes its global debut on Apple TV+ with two episodes premiering on Friday, March 15, 2024. New episodes then premiere weekly on Fridays through April 19, 2024. Take a peek at first-look images for the series below.
