Up-and-coming actress Kathryn Newton has been everywhere this year. She co-led a Blumhouse horror movie, “Freaky,” with Vince Vaughn. It was announced that she was selected for a highly-coveted role in the upcoming “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” alongside Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly. Now, you can see her as the top-billed cast member in the upcoming Amazon rom-com “The Map of Tiny Perfect Things.”
The movie is based on a short story of the same name by Lev Grossman, who also wrote the movie’s screenplay. It centers on teen Mark, who finds himself trapped in a time loop, similar to Hulu smash hit, “Palm Springs.” He thinks he’s alone until he finds Newton’s Margaret, who somehow finds herself in the same time loop. The two teens fall in love with one another and have to decide whether or not to leave their endless day together.
Joining Newton in the cast are Kyle Allen (“American Horror Story“), Josh Hamilton (“Eighth Grade“), Al Madrigal (“Night School“), and Cleo Fraser (“Black-ish“). “The Map of Tiny Perfect Things” was directed by Ian Samuels (“Sierra Burgess is a Loser“).
