Can a recently divorced soccer mom uncover a surprising conspiracy? “Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” offers viewers an intriguing blend of thriller and dark comedy. The series, from creator and showrunner David J. Rosen, follows a mother whose life suddenly changes after witnessing a crime. David Gordon Green directs and is the executive producer. The filmmaker recently served as EP on the popular HBO series “The Righteous Gemstones,” directing several episodes over its four-season run.

The upcoming Apple TV project stars Emmy Award winner Tatiana Maslany and Jake Johnson. Maslany drew raves for her performance on “Orphan Black.” She is also a part of the MCU, appearing as She-Hulk on the Disney+ series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” Johnson was a fan favorite on “New Girl” and garnered positive reviews for his work on “Minx.” ‘Guaranteed’ sees a talented cast join the duo, including Brandon Flynn, Murray Bartlett, Jessy Hodges, Jon Michael Hill, Charlie Hall, Kiarra Hamagami Goldberg, Nola Wallace, and Dolly De Leon.
The series’ official synopsis:
Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” follows newly divorced mom Paula (Maslany) as she falls down a dangerous rabbit hole of blackmail, murder, and youth soccer. Convinced she witnessed a crime – while simultaneously struggling through a custody battle and an identity crisis – Paula begins her own investigation, one that could unravel a greater conspiracy while also holding the keys to rebuilding her family and sense of self.
“Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed” comes from Apple Studios and Counterpart Studios. The two-episode premiere is set for May 20 on Apple TV, with additional episodes of the 10-episode season debuting weekly through July 15. Watch the new trailer below.
