The emotionally fraught period of adolescence has fascinated many filmmakers, and the latest to tackle the turbulent experience is Stephen Chbosky, with “The Perks Of Being A Wallflower.” And with a TIFF premiere and theatrical release just around the corner, seven new stills from the promising picture have arrived.
Adapted by Chbosky from his own novel of the same name, the film follows the titular wallflower Charlie (Logan Lerman), who forms a deep friendship with Sam (Emma Watson) and Patrick (“We Need To Talk About Kevin” star Ezra Miller) who help him break out of his shell and experience the high school life he thought was beyond his reach.
This will mark Watson’s first real leading role outside of the 'Harry Potter' franchise, following Daniel Radcliffe’s successful showing in “The Woman In Black” earlier this year, and we’re curious to see how she does playing an American teenager. We’ll see how it all turns out when the movie opens on September 21st. Check out the pics below. [MTV/
