Paramount+ Announces 'Halo' Getting A Second Season

While there have been live-action adaptations of the hit Xbox sci-fi shooter video game series, “Halo,” in the past, Paramount+ will be the home to a very ambitious show that sees various characters like Master Chief get live-action counterparts. The expensive series seems to have won over the brass at Paramount after a very long and drawn-out production in Budapest during the pandemic.

As part of the Paramount+ announcements today during their Investor Event, it was revealed that their huge sci-fi action series will officially be getting a second season. However, more details are expected at a later date.

The “Halo” cast consists of Pablo Schreiber (the Master Chief, Spartan John-117), Natascha McElhone (Dr. Halsey), Jen Taylor (Cortana), Bokeem Woodbine (Soren-066), Shabana Azmi (Admiral Margaret Parangosky), Natasha Culzac (Riz-028), Olive Gray (Miranda Keyes), Yerin Ha (Kwan Ha Boo), Bentley Kalu (Vannak-134), Kate Kennedy (Kai-125), Charlie Murphy (Makee) and Danny Sapani (Captain Jacob Keyes).

It would be assumed that Schreiber and surviving cast members would be returning for season two.

Here is the show’s official logline from Paramount: “Dramatizing an epic 26th-century conflict between humanity and an alien threat known as the Covenant, Halo the series will weave deeply drawn personal stories with action, adventure and a richly imagined vision of the future. In a war for humanity’s very survival, our deadliest weapon is our greatest hope.
