The guys Hannah has encountered in "Girls" thus far have all had their own quirks (except for maybe Lou Taylor Pucci who was almost too normal): Adam (Adam Driver) is slightly sexually deviant, uniquely individual, at times disarmingly sweet and yet, he will pee on you in the shower for a laugh; Marnie's ex-boyfriend Charlie (Christopher Abbott) is nice and earnest to the point of tedium while Ray (Alex Karpovsky) has an opinion and insight about nearly everyone, and it's usually not positive. Could Patrick Wilson be the dude to show Hannah there are some normal guys in New York City?
TVLine reports that Wilson has landed a guest-starring role (though it's not clear if it's one episode or possibly more) in the currently-in-production second season of "Girls." He'll be playing Josh, a doctor who lives next door to where Hannah works (presumably still at the coffee shop?) and serves as a potential love interest. Hmm. Frankly, any reason for more Wilson is fine by us. He's a great actor who is usually not well served by the big screen projects he gets (though when the material matches up perfectly, we get stuff like "Little Children" or even "Young Adult" where he aced a tricky supporting turn). And he's also got the award for **spoilers** most random cameo of the year in "Prometheus" **end spoilers**.
And we presume things will go much better at HBO for Wilson (who also featured in the network's "Angels In America") than they did at CBS, where he was informed of the cancellation of "A Gifted Man" through the press. Needless to say, he was not happy.
