Apple TV+ has unveiled the official trailer for the highly anticipated second season of “Platonic,” the sharp, half-hour comedy starring and executive produced by Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne. Created by Nicholas Stoller and Francesca Delbanco, the new season of “Platonic” will premiere globally on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, with the first two episodes, followed by weekly installments every Wednesday through October 1.

The new season picks up with best friends Sylvia (Byrne) and Will (Rogen) as they navigate a fresh wave of middle-age challenges—from demanding careers to chaotic weddings and emotionally messy relationships. As ever, their bond remains tight, even when their friendship risks breaking everything else around them.
Joining returning cast members Luke Macfarlane and Carla Gallo, “Platonic” season two brings in new comedic firepower with guest appearances from “Saturday Night Live” alums Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett, along with “Zombieverse” star Milo Manheim.
Produced by Sony Pictures Television, “Platonic” is executive produced by Byrne, Stoller, Delbanco, and Conor Welch, alongside Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver for Point Grey Pictures. Stoller also directs multiple episodes of the upcoming season.
The trailer release comes as both leads remain key players in the Apple TV+ comedy lineup. Rogen stars in “The Studio,” Apple’s record-breaking freshman comedy that recently earned 23 Emmy nominations, while Byrne continues her role in the critically acclaimed dark comedy “Physical.”
