Rian Johnson has proven that he knows how to craft a solid mystery, as seen in his “Knives Out” franchise. Now, he’s taking those skills to TV with his new series “Poker Face.”

As seen in the teaser for “Poker Face,” Natasha Lyonne stars as Charlie, a woman with the unusual ability to know exactly when someone is lying. As you might expect, this gift makes her a pretty good person to solve crimes, which is what she does over the course of the 10 episodes, each taking place in a new location. Think of it as 10 separate “Knives Out” stories with Lyonne replacing Daniel Craig.
The series is co-created by Johnson, who again is best known for “Knives Out.” However, one of the other big draws for the show is the ridiculous cast that has been pulled together to star opposite Lyonne. Folks like Adrien Brody, Benjamin Bratt, Charles Melton, Chloë Sevigny, Clea DuVall, Danielle MacDonald, Dascha Polanco, Ellen Barkin, Hong Chau, Jameela Jamil, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Judith Light, Lil Rel Howery, Luis Guzmán, Nick Nolte, Rhea Perlman, Ron Perlman, Rowan Blanchard, Simon Helberg, Stephanie Hsu, Tim Blake Nelson, and Tim Meadows all appear in guest starring roles.
“Poker Face” is set to debut on Peacock on January 26. You can watch the teaser below.
