We’ve waited. And waited, and waited and waited, patiently enduring release date delays, hoping for footage to appear or even an official still from the movie to arrive, only to be forever left in the cold. But Warner Bros, finally Alfonso Cuaron‘s “Gravity” is to be released this fall, knows they have a captive audience, hence the teasing before the trailer drops tomorrow. We’ve already seen a few seconds of actual material from the movie and now comes the first poster to keep the excitement from boiling over.
The 3D movie, starring George Clooney and Sandra Bullock, tells the story of Dr. Ryan Stone (Bullock), a medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, and veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney). But when the shuttle is destroyed, leaving them alone — tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness — they have to figure out how to get home. A test screening of the unfinished movie last year made waves with effusive praise from those who managed to catch it, but you might be better served by keeping chill, and lower expectations.
Don’t let go on October 4th. Poster below.
