According to THR, Grahame-Smith has been brought on as a writer and showrunner for the upcoming HBO Max “Green Lantern” series. As the title suggests, the show will tackle the iconic DC superhero but likely not in a similar way to how Ryan Reynolds did in the 2011 failed film version. Instead, it’s being reported that “Green Lantern” will not just have one hero sporting the emerald jewelry, but instead, there will be multiple Lanterns, with Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, and Alan Scott being the characters that are reportedly involved.

So, he clearly has the knowledge that will help put the fanboys and fangirls’ hearts at ease.

Grahame-Smith is probably best known as the author behind the Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” novel, but in recent years, he’s fully transitioned into a feature film/TV writer with projects such as “Dark Shadows,” “The Lego Batman Movie,” and the short-lived MTV show “The Hard Times of RJ Berger.” And yes, a long time ago, about 3 or 4 directors ago, the writer was attached to bring “The Flash” film to the big screen.
