Sony Pictures has sent over a new trailer for “Sisu: Road To Revenge,” which sees actor Jorma Tommila return as the grizzled Finnish minor who previously wiped out a group of Nazis after discovering a bunch of gold and is on another mission of revenge.
This second installment now features the Soviet Union as the antagonists, with Sisu facing an Army commander played by veteran actor Stephen Lang, best known for playing Miles Quaritch in James Cameron‘s “Avatar” movies and returning for “Avatar: Fire & Ash” in December, who killed Sisu’s family.
An official logline from Sony Pictures:
“Sisu: Road To Revenge” is a wall-to-wall cinematic action event, a sequel to the original sleeper hit SISU. Returning to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war, “the man who refuses to die” (Jorma Tommila) dismantles it, loads it on a truck, and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor. When the Red Army commander who killed his family (Stephen Lang) comes back hellbent on finishing the job, a relentless, eye-popping cross-country chase ensues – a fight to the death, full of clever, unbelievable action set pieces.
The pic is written and directed by Jalmari Helander, who was recently tapped by Millennium Media to tackle an origin “Rambo” movie set during the Vietnam War and has “Warfare” actor Noah Centineo attached to play the action hero role of U.S. special forces commando, John Rambo.
“Sisu: Road To Revenge” arrives in theaters on November 21, and you can watch the aforementioned trailer below.
