As seen in the trailer for “Supernova,” the film tells the story of two men who have been partners for two decades. However, when it’s revealed that Tusker (Tucci) is suffering from dementia and may not have much more time left with his complete faculties, he joins his partner, Sam (Firth), on a road trip across England to visit friends and family. Yes, this is a story that is definitely going to draw tears from audiences, and with Firth and Tucci on board, it’s almost assured that “Supernova” will be considered in the awards discussion later this season.
“Supernova” marks the second feature film for writer-director Harry Macqueen. His debut feature is the 2014 drama, “Hinterland.” He’s also an actor that has appeared in a number of projects over the years.
