'The Bad Batch' Final Season Trailer: Dave Filoni's 'Star Wars' Animated Series Comes To An End

Star Wars” animation is always pointed to by diehard fans as some of the best storytelling the franchise has ever seen. And while “The Bad Batch” isn’t discussed as top-tier (at least from what has been told to me by big fans), it’s still probably better than a lot of what is happening in live-action. (Looking at you, everything not called ‘Andor.’) But sadly, it appears we’re at the end of the road for “The Bad Batch.”

As seen in the trailer for “The Bad Batch” final season, the show is officially coming to an end starting in February. For those who haven’t seen the series, “The Bad Batch” serves as a spinoff of the beloved animated series, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” and tells the story of a group of renegade former Storm Troopers who resist the orders of Emperor Palpatine to eliminate all Jedi. This, as you might expect, puts them on the outs with the Empire, and thus, they become fugitives. Now, as the series wraps up, we’re seeing these soldiers go on one last mission to rescue a young child who is being held captive by the evil Empire.

The series mainly features the vocal talents of Dee Bradley Baker, a veteran voice actor who plays all the members of The Bad Batch. Other actors who are in the series include Michelle Ang, Wanda Sykes, and Nika Futterman. As you might have guessed, considering he’s the mastermind of most of the animated “Star Wars” offerings, “The Bad Batch” is created by Dave Filoni

The third and final season of “The Bad Batch” debuts on Disney+ on February 21. You can watch the trailer below:
