When it comes to new Star Wars shows, the next one is almost out: “The Book Of Boba Fett” premieres in late December. The first of three spin-offs of the smash hit, “The Mandalorian,” the new series follows the further misadventures of the bounty hunter Boba Fett and fellow mercenary Fennec Shand. Fett and Shand head to Tatooine to take over Jabba The Hutt’s crime syndicate, but the galaxy’s underworld never strikes an easy bargain.

Temuera Morrison and Mina-Na Wen return as Boba Fett and Fennec Shand in the new series. Details on other cast members remain slim, but Jennifer Beals will show up at some point as a Twi’lek. Given this show’s connection to “The Mandalorian,” expect some familiar faces to show up, too, perhaps even Din Djarin himself, Pedro Pascal.

Robert Rodriguez shares directing duties on “Boba Fett” with Jon Favreau, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Dave Filoni. All four also share executive producer credits with Kathleen Kennedy.

“The Book Of Boba Fett” is just one of several Star Wars shows on the way to Disney+. “Obi-Wan Kenobi” and “Andor” are set for release in 2022, with “The Mandalorian” Season Three close behind. The two other “Mandalorian” spin-offs, “Ashoka” and “Rangers Of The New Republic,” follow those.

Audiences won’t wait much longer for “The Book Of Boba Fett,” though. The new show premieres on December 29, only on Disney+. Check out the new teaser clips below.
