Two of the Stark siblings are reuniting, albeit not in “Game Of Thrones.” Deadline reports that Sophie Turner and Kit Harington will co-star in the upcoming gothic horror film “The Dreadful,” directed by “Lucky” and “V/H/S/85” director Natasha Kermani. The pic takes place in late medieval England, with the War Of The Roses as a backdrop. But that’s where the similarities with “Game Of Thrones” end.

Instead, “The Dreadful” is more of an intimate thriller with gothic horror trappings. Turner stars as Anne, who lives on the outskirts of society with their mother-in-law as war razes the countryside. But Anne’s harsh but relatively safe life apart from the fighting gets complicated when a man from her past (Harington) returns, upending everything. It’s unclear if Haringon plays Turner’s husband, brother, relative, or someone else in the film, but they’re the only two actors attached right now.
Turner leads producers on “The Dreadful” with Redwire Pictures/Tunnel‘s Luke Daniels. Patrick Muldoon and Patrick Hibler from Storyboard Media also in the mix, as is Black Banner‘s Greg Lauritano. Film Bridge International will rep the film’s international sales at EFM next week, while UTA Independent Film Group handles it domestically.
EXCLUSIVE: After starring together across all eight seasons of HBO’s hugely popular fantasy series Game of Thrones, Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are set to reunite on The Dreadful, a Gothic horror film launching sales at EFM through UTA Independent Film Group and Film Bridge International.
Turner’s recent roles include a main role in “The Staircase” and a supporting one in the Netflix teen film “Do Revenge.” She’ll star next in “Joan,” a UK crime series about infamous British underworld figure Joan Hannington. As for Harington, he recently starred in the Apple TV+ series “Extrapolations” as well as Chloe Zhao‘s “Eternals.” He has a main role in the upcoming Season 3 of “Industry,” as well as the time-traveling romance film “Eternal Return.”
“The Dreadful” will be Kermani’s biggest film production to date. Other titles in her filmography include the 2017 films “Shattered” and “Imitation Girl.”
A reunion between Harington and Turner should be excited for “Game Of Thrones” fans, but stay tuned for more info about this project.
