Viggo Mortensen’s “Good” has itself another poster, this one with a softer touch, and another trailer. In the film, Mortensen plays a liberal German professor whose moral cowardice leads to his involvement with the Nazi war machine and Auschwitz.
The film premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and scored pre-buzz, but afterwards all talk was basically non-existent. We thought at one point that the fall 2008 might’ve been the season of Viggo, but it didn’t even come close to a reality. What are the film’s chances now? Well, probably not great if the drama wasn’t released in time for Oscar. The film also stars Jason Isaacs and Mark Strong and is expected to be released on January 1, 2009.
