Disney has unveiled a Super Bowl spot for “Muppets Most Wanted,” the star-studded follow-up to “The Muppets.” Kermit and the gang are back of course, this time for a Euro-flavored adventure with Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey taking the key human roles. Of course, there will be cameos galore as well. Here’s the official synopsis:
Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid, Dublin and London. But mayhem follows theMuppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit the Frog—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
“Muppets Most Wanted” opens on March 21st. Check out the Super Bowl spot below, along with a Toyota ad featuring the Muppets and Terry Crews and finally, one more clever promo for the sequel.
