Wu-Tang Clan Set To Make Supernatural Thriller About Growing Up In The Projects

Braces yourselves everybody, a new supernatural suspense thriller is coming out and you won’t believe who is behind it. Impossible Dream Entertainment is pairing up with The Wu-Tang Clan to make the bizarre and horrifying events of their past come to life in the upcoming film “Angel of Dust.”

The Wu-Tang Clan has been performing since the 90s with their debut album Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) and are considered one of the greatest hip-hop groups of all time. Along with a couple other famed rappers from the age, they practically invented the game. One of their latest albums, Once Upon a Shaolin, contained 31 tracks and only a single copy was produced, which sold for $2 million back in 2014. Now it looks like the Wu-Tang Clan wants to take us back to Shaolin but in a different way this time.

Wu-Tang member Ghostface Killah along with longtime friend and manager Caruso were the ones to create the story for the new movie “Angel of Dust.” The plot is inspired by many of the true stories from Wu-Tang Clan members when they were growing up in the Staten Island Projects, which they refer to as Shaolin. Working with them and the story are screenwriters Matt Leslie and Stephen J. Smith, with Shaun Redick of “Get Out” and “BlacKkKlansman” fame as a producer. However, Ghostface Killah and Caruso are not the only Wu-Tang Clan members involved; RZA will be signing on to direct the film. RZA, who is no stranger to the movie industry, has worked as a writer and actor for multiple films and has recently come out with his debut feature “The Man with the Iron Fists.” There will also be an entirely new soundtrack by the Wu-Tang Clan for the film, which is shaping up to be truly epic overall.

Set in modern day, Casey is a normal yet exceptionally smart teenager and talented rapper but after the mysterious death of his parents, he’s been forced to grow up in NY’s roughest inner-city streets, also known as Shaolin in Wu-Tang folklore, basically on his own. As life in the hood around him gets tragically worse he must put his skills to the test to survive not only the gangs, corrupt cops, junkies and bullies, but a serial killer with seemingly supernatural powers dubbed by the media as the “Angel of Dust.”
