Oscar Nominee Mica Levi To Score Rooney Mara's Musical 'Vox Lux' Directed By Brady Corbet

More Mica Levi is always a good thing. The musician and adventurous pop artist turned composer behind Jonathan Glazer’s “Under The Skin,” Pablo Larraín’s “Jackie” (for which she earned an Oscar nomination), and Sundance entry “Marjorie Prime” (read our review) is quickly turning into one of the finest of her generation. There were rumblings about this kicking around last week, but The Film Stage has confirmed that Levi will score Brady Corbet’s upcoming musical “Vox Lux” starring Rooney Mara, Jude Law and Stacy Martin. In addition to Levi’s score, the movie will feature all new songs by Sia, with the story following Celeste, who becomes one of the world’s pop superstars after surviving a life-changing event, and her 15-year journey of success and travails that embodies and reflects upon key contemporary events, from 1999 to the present day.

Production will kick off this summer, with Corbet shooting in 65mm, making this one of our most anticipated movies of 2018 already. We can’t wait. Check out some artwork from the film’s sales brochure that will be making the rounds at the European Film Market.
