The third installment of Italian director Giovanni Veronesi’s ongoing “Manual Of Love” series is something we really didn’t know existed until Robert De Niro signed on for a role. Well, you can now count us as, well, if not interested then at least curious as the veteran actor will be batting eyelids with a very beautiful co-star.
Variety reports that Monica Bellucci has joined the cast of “Manual Of Love 3” and will play the love interest of De Niro, who is playing an American professor in the film. If the “Manual Of Love” series proves anything it’s that love affairs between a woman and a man twenty years her senior is a cliché that will never die.
Bellucci had a role in “Manual Of Love 2” while the film will mark De Niro’s first time in the series. As producer Aurelio De Laurentiis quite obviously notes, “This third one, with De Niro in the cast, will have greater international ambitions.”
Production on the film begins later this month at Rome’s Cinecitta Studios.
