Anton Sanko Takes Over Scoring Duties On John Cameron Mitchell's 'Rabbit Hole'

The revolving door of composers continues on John Cameron Mitchell’s forthcoming drama “Rabbit Hole.”

The film was originally slated to be scored by Owen Pallet (aka Final Fantasy) but he was forced to bow out as scheduling conflicts prevented him from completing his work on the film. Then in March it was reported that Polish composer Abel Korzeniowski (“A Single Man”) had stepped in but it now looks like he too has been replaced, this time by Anton Sanko, who is now reportedly taking score duties on the film. He’s probably the least known of the composers to work on the picture so far with his most notable work appearing on “Big Love,” but he will undoubtedly be under the most pressure. With the film set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Sanko will have to complete his work quickly if Mitchell wants to unspool a completed film.

Adapted by David Lindsay-Abaire from his own Pulitzer-Prize winning play, “Rabbit Hole” stars Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart as a young couple trying to cope with the accidental death of their young son. If the film lives ups to its expectations, it should definitely be an awards contender this fall.
