Netflix has released the trailer, key art, and new images for “Heartstopper Forever,” the finale film bringing Alice Oseman’s beloved YA romance to a close.
Based on Oseman’s “Heartstopper” book series, the film follows Nick and Charlie as their relationship enters a new, uncertain phase. The two are still inseparable, but as Nick prepares to leave for university and Charlie finds a new sense of independence at school, the reality of a long-distance relationship begins to weigh on them. As doubts creep in, their relationship faces its biggest challenge yet: whether first love can really last forever.
The finale film will also follow the rest of their friend group as they navigate the highs and lows of love, friendship, growing up, and moving on. Kit Connor and Joe Locke return to lead the cast, alongside William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, Kizzy Edgell, Tobie Donovan, Jenny Walser, Rhea Norwood, and Leila Khan.
The trailer also features the first-ever use of “Stupid Song,” from Olivia Rodrigo’s new album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love.”
“Heartstopper Forever” is written and created by Oseman, directed by Wash Westmoreland, and produced by See-Saw Films. Executive producers include Patrick Walters, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Oseman, Euros Lyn, Connor, and Locke.
“Heartstopper Forever” releases globally on Netflix on July 17, 2026.
