For two seasons, “Silo” treated truth like contraband buried under steel. And Season three looks ready to crack the whole thing open. Apple TV+ has unveiled the first teaser for the next chapter of Graham Yost’s dystopian drama, and this time the series is not just dealing with the aftermath of rebellion inside the silo. It’s finally heading toward the buried history that made this nightmare possible in the first place.

The 10-episode new season premieres on July 3, 2026, with one episode rolling out every Friday through September 4. Rebecca Ferguson returns as Juliette Nichols, and Apple says the new season picks up after her forced “cleaning,” with Juliette surviving but returning with memory loss as the silo struggles to recover from revolt and faces a new threat. That alone would be enough to keep the pressure on, but season three is clearly widening the frame in a major way.
The biggest shift is right there in the premise. Season three will also move into the “Before Times,” jumping back centuries earlier as journalist Jessica Henwick’s Helen Drew and congressman Ashley Zukerman’s Daniel Keene begin uncovering a conspiracy that sets catastrophic events in motion. For a show that spent two seasons turning secrecy into architecture, that origin-story turn feels like the natural next move—less about who controls the silo now than who built the machinery of control to begin with.
The ensemble around Ferguson remains deep, with Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Rick Gomez, Billy Postlethwaite, and Clare Perkins all returning.
New additions for season three include Laura Innes, Jessica Brown Findlay, Morven Christie, Reed Birney, and Matt Craven, while Colin Hanks is set to recur, and Steve Zahn is also back. The series, based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling trilogy, has already been renewed for a fourth and final season, so this run looks poised to do the heavy lifting of turning the show from mystery-box survival saga into full-scale historical reckoning.
Apple’s teaser arrives with a simple promise—“The truth will surface”—and that sounds about right for where “Silo” is headed now. After years of claustrophobia, paranoia, and carefully rationed answers, season three appears ready to dig past the rules of this underground society and into the political and human catastrophe that created it. Season three begins July 3 on Apple TV+. Watch the trailer below.
