David Lynch's Documentary Series "Interview Project" To Premiere June 1st

David Lynch’s 121-part documentary series “Interview Project” will premiere June 1st on Lynch’s official website, according to The Wrap.

The project aims to capture a portrait of everyday Americans through short, random interviews. Each episode will begin with an introduction from Lynch that will be followed by a three to five minute interview with a different subject. Plans are to release an episode every three days over the course of a year.

“[The project] is a 20,000 mile road trip over 70 days across and back the United States,” the filmmaker explained. “The team found the people driving along the roads, going into bars, going into different locations and there they were. The people told their stories. It’s so fascinating to look and listen to people.”

“What I hope people will get out ‘Interview Project’ is a chance to meet these people. It’s something that’s human and you can’t stay away from it,” concluded Lynch.

A trailer for the series can be seen at the project’s official site.
