‘Eddington’ BTS Featurette: Ari Aster’s COVID-Era Rural Western Arrives July 18

We can’t wait to see the general audience reaction to Ari Aster‘s latest movie, “Eddington,” which boasts a fantastic cast that features Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Luke Grimes, Deirdre O’Connell, Micheal Ward, Amélie Hoeferle, Clifton Collins Jr., William Belleau, Austin Butler, and Emma Stone.

A24, the film’s distributor, has shared with us a behind-the-scenes featurette taking viewers to the making of “Eddington” along with brief chats with Aster and the cast expressing their excitement for the rural Western thriller that takes place in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Along with a sprinkling of scenes from the movie.

In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff (Joaquin Phoenix) and mayor (Pedro Pascal) sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico.

Aster’s other works, such as “Hereditary,” “Midsommar,” and the Phoenix-starring “Beau Is Afraid,” have made quite an impact with moviegoers, and we’ll have to wait a little bit to see their impressions when it finally graces the big screen. Could “Eddington” become another Aster classic that amasses a large following like his other efforts? Only time will tell if Aster has another crowd-pleaser on his hands.
