After singing in “Country Strong” and on “Glee,” Gwyneth Paltrow isn’t going to stop until everyone on the planet has heard her sing a song from the former or her version of Cee-Lo‘s “Fuck You” which she sang on the latter.
The actress is set to exercise her vocal chords on two upcoming awards show. First up, on February 13th, Paltrow will team with Cee-Lo and The Muppets to sing “Fuck You” “Forget You” at the Grammy Awards. That should at the very least be….interesting. Meanwhile, on February 25th Paltrow will perform “Coming Home” at the Oscar awards where its up for a Best Song trophy. Fellow nominees Mandy Moore, Randy Newman, Zachary Levi and Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine will also be on hand to perform their respective nominated songs at the show. But wait, what song is Florence + The Machine nominated for? Looks like she will be stepping in for Dido and teaming with A.R. Rahman on “If I Rise” from “127 Hours.” As for as substitutions go, that’s not too shabby.
This isn’t Paltrow’s first time doing her musician thing at an awards ceremony — she also sang the title song from “Country Strong” at the CMA Awards. Is Chris Martin‘s newest competition coming from inside his own house? Check out some of Paltrow’s performances below.
