The Playlist first revealed the shocking news that filmmakers David Fincher and Quentin Tarantino would be collaborating on a “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” follow-up film for Netflix exploring the exploits of Brad Pitt‘s character, Cliff Booth.
There are now some substantial casting updates as The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed, backing up a previous report from What’s On Netflix posted earlier in the month, that British actress Elizabeth Debicki is indeed joining Pitt in the film.

Also, adding that Scott Caan is landing a role as well.
In the new flick, we’ll see Fincher directing from a script penned by Tarantino, a concept that isn’t foreign to the director. He was previously behind scripts for other filmmakers with “True Romance,” “From Dusk Till Dawn” (co-written with Robert Rodriguez), and a butchered version of “Natural Born Killers.” Given Tarantino’s desire to end his feature directorial run at ten movies, perhaps, we’ll see him focus on writing scripts for other directors (a good way to keep his legacy going).
Debicki has quite the varied track record working on Steve McQueen‘s heist thriller “Widows,” “MaXXXine,” Christopher Nolan‘s “Tenet,” “Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.2,” “The Crown,” “The Cloverfield Paradox,” and Guy Ritchie‘s “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.”
Caan is an interesting fella as he was part of the West Coast rap community as a roadie for Cypress Hill, then started his own rap group, The Whooliganz. He followed his late father Jimmy Caan‘s footsteps in acting, playing a comedic role alongside Pitt in Steven Soderbergh‘s “Ocean’s” movies with other credits such as “Boiler Room,” “Gone In 60 Seconds” (precursor to the “Fast & Furious” franchise), and the Tony Scott pic “Enemy of The State.”
What’s On Netflix has also mentioned Aldis Hodge (“Cross,” “Straight Outta Compton”) is up for the role of “a former NFL football player turned actor.” However, his name hasn’t popped up in trade reports, I guess we’ll have to wait a little longer for confirmation on that one.
Stay tuned, as there is an expectation that there are plenty of roles to fill in the next chapter in the “Once Upon A Time In Hollywood” story.
