Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn is back with a new thriller, “Her Private Hell,” which has been picked up by NEON as a distributor and co-financier alongside a group of rising young actors enlisted to play roles in the mysterious project.
The news was announced this morning by NEON on their official social media account as the studio revealed that Sophie Thatcher (“Heretic,” “Companion”), Charles Melton (“Warfare,” “May December”), Kristine Froseth (“How To Blow Up A Pipeline”), and Havana Rose Liu (“Bottoms”) will be starring.

Sadly, we don’t have plot details to share; that will come in time, but there has been talk that “Her Private Hell” will be similar to his previous auteur thrillers, such as “Drive,” “Only God Forgives,” and “Neon Demon.”
Most recently, the director has been focusing on television with “Copenhagen Cowboy” and “Too Old To Die Young,” also appearing in Hideo Kojima‘s “Death Stranding” video games (the two are extremely good friends).
We’ll keep our fingers crossed we won’t have to wait too long to hear concrete plot/character information, as “Her Private Hell” is certainly going to be a highly anticipated project, as anything Refn does has a large cinephile following going back to his “Pusher” trilogy.
Stay tuned for further updates as we’ll be keeping tabs on the new thriller.
