“Under Paris” was one of the more bizarre guilty pleasures to hit Netflix in the past couple of years. So it only makes sense for the next film by its director, Xavier Gens, to have some quiet buzz about it. Add in the movie’s two leads, Allison Williams and “Landman” actress Michelle Randolph, and “Homewrecker” could be a contender for one of the better genre films of 2027.

Williams and Randolph will star in the upcoming sci-fi survival thriller as two of three star-crossed Americans who are suddenly forced to work together after an unexplained global event interrupts a heartbreaking domestic revelation. It sounds like “Homewrecker” will be something in the same vein as the “Cloverfield” films, albeit with a break-up twist, as the title alludes to.
Gens will direct a script by Elisa Bell and Travis Gordon for “Homewrecker.” Proucers include Denise Di Novi and Oliver Scherick via Di Novi Pictures, and John Zois and Warren Goz via Parallel 42 Entertainment. Executive producers are Michael Rothstein and Samuel Hall via North.Five.Six, as well as Williams. Shooting on the film starts in July in France.
Gens’ other recent directing work beyond “Under Paris” includes “Lupin, “Farang/Mayhem!,” and “Gangs Of London.” Meanwhile, “Girls” alum Williams is coming off of Paramount‘s “Regretting You,” while “Killing You” just had its world premiere at SXSW 2026. Randolph recently starred in “Scream 7” and “Landman” S2, and is shooting Christmas comedy “Clashing Through The Snow” right now.
Stay tuned for more details on “Homewreckers,” which should reach audiences sometime next year.
