Joss Whedon Reportedly Bragged About Threatening Gal Gadot’s Career While On The Set Of ‘Justice League’

For about a year now, we’ve heard Ray Fisher talk about the “abuse” he suffered while working with Joss Whedon, Jon Berg, and Geoff Johns on the reshoots of “Justice League.” And in a new THR report, the actor is now opening up more than ever about his time on the superhero film. But one of the biggest standouts of the report is about how Gal Gadot was the subject of some Joss Whedon anger.

According to THR, Gal Gadot joined the other “Justice League” actors who were having issues with the new script revisions that Joss Whedon turned in when he took over for Zack Snyder on the WB film. In Gadot’s case, she reportedly had “issues about her character being more aggressive than her character in ‘Wonder Woman.’ She wanted to make the character flow from one movie to the next.” She would eventually take her complaints to the chairman of WB to help them get rectified. But apparently, the “Wonder Woman” star was put in the crosshairs by Joss Whedon after voicing her complaints.

The report continued by saying when they were on set, Gadot was pushed by Whedon to record lines of dialogue that she didn’t like. It is alleged that he threatened her career and disparaged Patty Jenkins, who is the director of “Wonder Woman.” In the aftermath, a witness on the “Justice League” set told THR, “Joss was bragging that he’s had it out with Gal. He told her he’s the writer and she’s going to shut up and say the lines and he can make her look incredibly stupid in this movie.”

In her response to THR about the allegations, Gal Gadot said, “I had my issues with [Whedon] and Warner Bros. handled it in a timely manner.”

Regardless of the outcome, it’s clear Gadot and other “Justice League” actors (not just Ray Fisher) had a rough time working with Whedon on the film. It probably explains why everyone seemed excited to see the release of “Zack Snyder’s Justice League” last month.
